I’ve never really had a “painter’s block” until now. Over the past year we have traveled and moved into another time zone. I’m now pretty much settled in our new home and studio, but don’t have a lot of desire or energy to paint. I know how to break the “block”: just show up! So I’ve spent time in the studio doing other stuff besides painting. Today, October 1, I decided to start a challenge of painting a small painting (5 x 7) a day for 30 paintings, or a month. Here is today’s painting which is the view outside my studio window on this overcast rainy day. I’ll try to do another one tomorrow. Keep your brush wet, painters!
