It is 82 degrees and I’m up and out to do some color studies before the sun screames against my skin. Cove Harbor, Rockport, Texas. A dolfin at my feet below the wooden platform palapa that where I have set up my easil. Some gray pelicans have greeted the day. Color starts to pour from the horizon and I start to try to understand it, quickly, very quickly.

Five more minutes and it will be too hot to stand in the sun. I look forward to the cool mornings, coming soon, when I can return to actually painting outside. In the meantime quick color studies of trying to match the color I see will have to do.
Thanks for checking in!
